What does H.E.L.P. For Pets stand for?
H.E.L.P. stands for Humane & Ethical Lives, Please. Our mission is to support animals and the people who care for them through rescue, fostering, adoption, Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), low-cost spay/neuter assistance, education, and compassionate community support.
What is HELP For Pets, Inc?
Founded in 1990 by a dedicated group of 13 women, HELP For Pets, Inc. is a nonprofit organization committed to improving the lives of animals in the Greater Danbury community. What began as a grassroots effort has grown into a trusted resource for pets and the people who love them.
Today, HELP For Pets continues its mission through fostering, adoption, Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), low-cost spay/neuter assistance, community education, and compassionate animal advocacy. As a foster-based rescue, our animals are cared for in loving foster homes while they await their forever families.
What areas do you serve?
We primarily serve Danbury, CT and surrounding communities.
Are you a shelter?
No. HELP For Pets is a foster-based rescue, which means our animals live in foster homes rather than a traditional shelter facility.
